The RISE Process™

Our Framework for Lasting Performance.

Powered by Lean Six Sigma · Kaizen · Applied Improvement Project Model

Every Rise Strong engagement is guided by The RISE Process™ — our proprietary performance improvement framework that combines the data discipline of Lean Six Sigma, the continuous improvement philosophy of Kaizen, and the structured methodology of the Applied Improvement Project model.

The RISE Process™ means you don't get guesswork. You get a structured, evidence-based approach that identifies root causes, integrates operational and human strategies, and delivers measurable, sustainable results.

Reveal
We investigate before we recommend.

Before Rise Strong recommends a single strategy, we investigate. We begin with an internal literature review — studying relevant research and evidence-based practices — and then conduct a thorough organizational assessment alongside your team. Stakeholder surveys, focus groups, and Lean Six Sigma root cause analysis tools ensure that every recommendation is grounded in what's actually happening in your organization, not what we assume.

What this looks like for you

Your team participates in surveys and conversations. Your leadership participates in a discovery session. You receive a comprehensive needs assessment report that tells you clearly what's not working and why.

LSS: Define + Measure + Analyze (DMAIC)
Kaizen: Go and see — observe before acting
Involvement: Firm-led (Phase 1) → Client-involved (Phase 2)

Phase I
Integrate
Performance and people, designed together.

This is the heart of The RISE Process™ — and what makes Rise Strong genuinely different from other consultants. The Integrate phase is where operational improvement strategies and human capacity practices are designed together, not in separate silos.

Using Lean Six Sigma's Improve phase and Kaizen's rapid improvement principles, we co-design strategies with your leadership team that strengthen systems while protecting the people who run them. Restorative practices for staff sustainability are embedded here — because performance improvements built on burned-out people are never sustainable.

What this looks like for you

Collaborative strategy sessions with your leadership team. A co-designed improvement plan you actually own.

Strengthen
A plan you approve before anything begins.

The Integrate phase strategy is translated into a concrete, time-bound action plan — with clear ownership, success metrics, and accountability checkpoints built in. Every task has an assigned owner, a deadline, and a definition of done.

Critically: you formally review and approve this action plan before implementation begins. No ambiguity. No assumptions. No scope creep. The Strengthen phase is built around the principle that clarity at the planning stage prevents confusion, delay, and disappointment during execution.

What this looks like for you

A written action plan delivered through ClearPath, our client collaboration portal. You review it, provide feedback, and formally approve it before we proceed.

Kaizen: Standardize improvements — create the new baseline

Phase E
Elevate
Measurable results and a roadmap to keep rising.

The Elevate phase closes the loop. Performance indicators established at the start of the engagement are measured against real results. What worked is standardized and embedded into the organization's daily practice. What needs refinement is adjusted — this is Kaizen's continuous improvement cycle made concrete.

The Elevate phase is also how Rise Strong demonstrates the measurable ROI of your investment. Findings are documented in a formal evaluation report, and you receive a sustainability roadmap that keeps your organization rising long after our engagement formally ends.

What this looks like for you

A joint results review with your leadership team. A written evaluation report. A sustainability roadmap you can actually use.

LSS: Control phase (DMAIC) + performance scorecard
Kaizen: Sustain gains — build it into daily practice permanently
Involvement: Collaborative
